When med school dropout-turned-master criminal John Muller (Paul Henreid) puts together a major casino heist, not everything goes as planned. The cops don't know he was behind it, but unfortunately, a vindictive gangland casino owner (Tomas Brown Henry) figures it out. In order to "disappear", Muller assumes the identity of psychiatrist Dr. Bartok (Henreid plays both roles), requiring him to scar his face to match Bartok's, resulting in unforeseen consequences.

This psychological thriller, Hollow Triumph, is pure vintage Film Noir. Co-starring Joan Bennet and directed by Steve Sekely, the film was also released under the title Hollow Triumph. The story follows Muller, a medical school dropout and crook, as he plans a holdup that goes wrong. He ends up being chased by a gangster and takes on a new identity, thinking it is the solution, but of course, it is not what he expects.

When Muller puts together the major casino heist, the cops are unaware of his involvement. However, the vengeful gangland casino owner, Tomas Brown Henry, manages to figure it out. In order to evade capture, Muller decides to assume the identity of psychiatrist Dr. Bartok, which requires him to scar his face to match Bartok's. This unexpected turn of events leads to unforeseen consequences.

The film Hollow Triumph, also known as Hollow Triumph, is a classic psychological thriller in the Film Noir genre. Directed by Steve Sekely, the movie features Paul Henreid in a dual role as both Muller and Dr. Bartok, with Joan Bennet co-starring. The story follows the journey of a medical school dropout and crook, Muller, as he plans a heist that goes awry, forcing him to take on a new identity in a desperate attempt to disappear.

Despite his efforts to conceal his true identity, Muller's plan to assume the persona of Dr. Bartok leads to unexpected consequences that he couldn't have foreseen. The film's dark and suspenseful atmosphere, combined with the psychological complexity of the protagonist's predicament, make Hollow Triumph a quintessential example of the Film Noir genre.
